Ran paused. "Well... Not taboo, really, no. Demons are a lot more lax about societal standards than humans are, seeing as we're basically made to sin. But if a demon were to actually fall in love with a human, well, they'd probably get made fun of at the very least." He finished shelving the last of the food, and tossed the empty bags in a trash can. "You're probably not gonna want to hear this, but down here, humans are primarily valued as food. Not the same way that you would think of cereal, or even a cow or something... It's hard to explain, since humans don't really have an analog for feeding on souls." He walked over and plopped himself down on the bed, facing Silas. "Basically, it's expected that demons screw humans, or eat them, or steal from them or kill them or whatever, as long as it's sinful or something. Incubi especially are expected to do that first one. But an actual relationship would just be seen as weird, since real love even between two demons is fairly uncommon."

Silas blinked at Ran's response. "Don't you guys ever get...y'know, lonely?" He asked the demon curiously. "Wanting to be with someone for a long time is pretty normal for us humans. You don't ever get the need for companionship or anything?" Though he had already figured the answer would be "No", he was still interested in what input the incubus had to say. If he was going to be staying in Heck for the rest of his afterlife, he might as well get to know the in and outs of the people that live here. Wouldn't wanna embarrass himself.

"...I've heard of some people feeling like that, but it's not so common. Most relationships are based on sex and self-gain," Ran replied, seeming a bit uncomfortable about the topic. Incubi of all demons weren't meant to deal with love. "Anyways, are you going to take that nap you were griping about, or should we head out to fight some demons and replenish your soul already?"

"Nahhh, I think I'm going to pass on that nap after all." Silas said, standing up from his brand new, though a little disappointing, futon. The magnificent image of that deluxe futon they saw earlier was still fresh in his mind. He almost wanted to shed a tear at how mangy this futon looked in comparison, but he wasn't going to do that in front of Ran. He did buy him food and clothes (though half of them were revealing as hell) with whatever money he had, so he decided against...complaining, like he usually resorted to. "So, what were we doing next? Heading to the outskirts of town to fight baddies, right?" He asked, leaning against a wall with his arms crossed.

"Yep, now I get to smooch you up a bit and then watch you fight monsters in that cute little costume," Ran said with a grin. "But hey, it'll replenish your soul and we'll both get stronger. The more you do it the easier it'll get." He swung open the door and gestured for Silas to exit the tiny apartment, then locked the door behind them. The trip out to the wastelands didn't take very long; Ran had managed it in about fifteen minutes while dragging an unconscious Silas before, after all. "Hm, I'm hoping for a tentacle monster today. Those're always fun to watch writhe around," he said conversationally as they left the safety of the town's borders behind.
