"Yeah, you look totally relaxed with your face as red as a tomato," Simon snickered. "Blushing is so hilarious, you humans can't fake anything without your own bodies giving you away." He wiped the cloth down the side of Ashe's face to where the wizard's jawline met his throat, tilting his head to the side a little. Simon's eyes drifted down the boy's neck, where the bite marks were still red and very noticeable. Subconsciously, he ran his tongue over the tips of his fangs, as if remembering what it had felt like or imagining doing it again. Not as if he'd be able to do it this soon anyways, though; unless Ashe could suddenly learn healing magic overnight, it'd be a few weeks before his blood cell level had recovered enough for it to be safe. Damn did he want to, though; he was determined that he'd sink his teeth into him again, this time on his own terms.

"Psh, don't flatter yourself." Ashe huffed. "Anyone would react the same way as me if some creep just suddenly got close to their face like this." He glanced away from the vampire once he got to cleaning the side of his neck. The position reminded him of that one regrettable act of kindness he did for Simon just a couple of days ago. God, how he wished that whole scenario never even happened. How he wished that bite didn't actually feel as pleasurable as it did. How he wished Simon didn't get bragging rights from having bitten him in the first place. After noticing he was no longer being cleaned off, Ashe glanced back at the vampire and managed to catch a glimpse of him.. licking his fangs? Well then.. "My, my, Hawthorne.... It would seem humans aren't the only ones who give themselves away via body language." He smirked. "What? Are you still thinking of when I allowed you to feed from me? That's kinda pathetic, don't you think? Even for you." Though he teased Simon for wanting to bite him again, somewhere deep inside he wanted the same thing, though he'd much rather die than to admit that. That vampiric aphrodisiac was nothing to scoff at; It felt unbelievably amazing, but never would he EVER let Simon sink his fangs into his flawless skin ever again. No matter how hungry he was.

Simon jerked back at Ashe's word, realizing what he had been doing. If vampires could flush, he would've. "'Pathetic' was the noise you made after I started drinking," he retorted, glancing away from the wizard. Ughh, he'd always pictured that finally biting Ashe would be the perfect thing to hold over the blond's head, but the circumstances had been such that it was hard to be proud of it. He wished Ashe hadn't let him drink, had just left him alone that morning in science class; then he'd have never ended up desperately accepting a pity-feed like some loser.
"Not to mention how pathetic it is that one little blood donation left you sick and bedridden. You act big with all that magic, but your body's so weak. I bet I could just shove you down and bite you again right now and you wouldn't be able to stop me," he scoffed, glaring at the boy he was still sitting on top of. Even he knew that last sentence had probably been too much, but he was embarrassed and desperate to get the upper hand again.

Ashe blushed again when Simon brought up the noise that he unintentionally let slip out while the vampire was drinking. "H-hey! I'll remind you that I wasn't the only one making embarrassing noises! I seem to distinctly remember you making a weird groaning sound while you were biting me!" He retorted, pulling his blanket up to his chin to hide the still visible bite marks on his neck. "My body is perfectly capable of fighting off common illnesses, thank you. And you wouldn't dare bite me while I'm in this state." He narrowed his eyes. The very thought of Simon shoving down on the bed while he was still shirtless managed to fluster the wizard to the point where steam was beginning to trail out of his ears. That's just something you don't say to a guy while you don't have a shirt on, dammit.
((i went back and i edited that post from when Ashe let Simon bite him bc it was starting to bother me that i didn't explain what was happening on his end :'v))

"Wouldn't I?" Simon spat back, getting more frustrated by the minute. He grabbed Ashe's wrists and pinned the boy down on his bed. "Getting a bit excited, are we?" he jeered, anger laced with amusement at how fast Ashe's heart was beating and how red his face was. Was that... steam coming out of his ears? Jeez, the wizard was just a flat-out cartoon character sometimes.
He could do it. He could just bite Ashe right now, make him squirm and moan as he drained his energy away, prove that he was stronger. After something like that, Ashe would never be able to get the upper hand again. But... God, that'd be such an asshole thing to do. The wizard would probably never talk to him again, and in some sort of sadistic-masochistic way, he enjoyed having him around to fight with. It'd be a lot less entertaining if Ashe had an actual death grudge against him. Not to mention he'd probably have to spend his whole life after graduation looking over his shoulder for someone trying to incinerate him.
"...Tch, your blood would probably taste like shit with whatever viruses are swimming around in you," he mumbled, sitting up and climbing down off the bed. He wadded up the towel he had been using and headed towards the bathroom to toss it in the sink with the other one.

"No, you wouldn't, Sla--?!" Before Ashe knew it, he was being forcibly pinned down to the bed with an angry Simon looming above him. His heart was practically beating out of his chest as he struggled to free his wrists from the vampire's grip. Unfortunately for him, he was still too sick and weak to break away, though to be honest, he likely still wouldn't be able to fight off Simon without the use of his magic even if he wasn't sick.
"Un-unhand me..!" He protested as he continued to struggle against Simon, but it seemed like Simon wasn't listening to him at all. It was more like the vampire was stuck in thought about something as he had Ashe pinned down, probably thinking about 'how great its gonna feel to strip him of every ounce of pride he had in his body', he'd bet. Ugh, this was more embarrassing than it was frightening to the wizard at this point. Starting to realize there was no point in trying to free himself, the only thing he thought to do left was to shut his eyes, grit his teeth and prepare for the unwanted bite...
Ashe blinked when his arms were finally released and Simon got off of the bed with the towel in hand. He sat up from the bed with a dumbfounded look on his face for a good minute before grabbing a pillow from behind him and chucking at the bathroom door. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" Ashe shouted, but at no one in particular. It was just him yelling what was currently on his mind.

Simon picked his soggy shirt up out of the sink and wrung it out, then hung it up on the towel rack. It looked like he'd be stuck between waiting here hours for it to dry, walking back to his room shirtless, or... having to borrow a shirt from Ashe. None of those sounded particularly appealing. He left both the soup-sodden towels to soak in the sink out of a lack of anywhere better to put them.
He left the bathroom and rolled his eyes at Ashe's outburst. But really, he didn't have an answer to the question. How could you explain something like that? Oh sorry, I was just weighing the pros and cons of eating you and shredding your dignity? "What, are you disappointed I didn't do it?" he finally quipped, falling back on snarky humor. "If you want me to bite you you can just say, I know I'm pretty hard to resist."

"Yeah, you're 'pretty hard to resist', alright. Pretty hard to resist trying to fucking murder." Ashe growled back while practically glaring daggers into Simon from the other side of the room. He was still trying to wrap his mind around what exactly just happened. All of a sudden the vampire had just snapped, and there was a somewhat sadistic air surrounding him for a second. It was similar to that time where he first bit Ashe, but this time he knew what he was doing, which was kinda unsettling considering Ashe was still weak as hell and he wouldn't be able to blast him off like last time.
"God, you're such a nutjob, Edward. Almost as creepy as the actual guy from Twilight, I'd say." He grabbed another dark purple pillow from his bed and threw it at the vampire. "And if anyone here is hard to resist, I'd say it's me since you can't seem to keep your hands off of me..." He glanced away from Simon and brought a hand up to his chin with a dramatically innocent look, an obvious attempt at trying to embarrass the other boy.

Simon turned his head away and grit his teeth as Ashe yelled at him. Right now he just wished he could rewind and stop himself from ever trying to play that prank with the soup; the split-second of surprise from the wizard was not worth all this shit. He smacked the pillow down out of the air before it could hit him.
"Yeah, cause I totally want to want to eat you!" he shouted back, clenching his fists. He seethed in silence for a moment, then turned and went back into the bathroom. Clattering and rustling sounds came from the doorway as he searched through the cabinets for a hairdryer; there was no way someone like Ashe wouldn't have one, and maybe he could use it to dry his shirt and get the hell out of there.

Ashe watched in silence as Simon stormed off back into the bathroom, and flinched once he started hearing things being either tossed or moved around. What suddenly got into him? Did he overdo it with the "Twilight" insult? Ashe rubbed the back of his neck nervously after realizing calling the vampire things like "Edward Cullen" was kind of racist. But he was his sworn enemy, right? Right! He shouldn't have to apologize! Things like arguing should be normal for the two of them! So what was so different this time..?
Ashe got himself out of bed and approached the bathroom, scratching his forearm a bit out of nervousness. "Simon," It was one of those rare moments where he actually called Simon by his name instead of something demeaning, and it always felt sort of weird to say. "I...er, first off, what the hell are you hoping to find in my bathroom?" He squinted at the other boy with a raised brow.

"A hair dryer. I know someone who preens as much as you has to have one," he replied flatly (not that he was much of one to talk, considering he had spent as long as half an hour styling his own hair on occasion). "I'm sure you'll appreciate to hear that I'm trying to get my shirt dry enough to wear so I can get the fuck out of here." His tone had a tinge of bitterness.
He finally found a hairdryer tucked away in a cupboard, plugged it in, and fired it up. A noisy WHRRRRRRR emitted from the bathroom as he pointed the hairdryer at his shirt and began the tedious process of trying to dry it out.

Oh. He was trying to leave. Well, good on him then! It's about damn time he left, as a matter of fact. Like usual, he's caused nothing but trouble for Ashe since he got here. But.. if Simon left, that would mean Ashe would be stuck in his dorm all alone. And sick. With no one to help him out. And no one to talk to. That...no, he didn't want that to happen.
Ashe pursed his lips before finally speaking again, only to have his voice be drowned out by the loud whirring noise the blow dryer was making. "Oh, for God's sake--" He grumbled, immediately pulling the hairdryer plug right out of the socket. "As I was trying to say.." The wizard loudly cleared his throat. Okay, he was gonna do it. He was going to apologize. Easy peasy. "I'm.." Any minute now. "I'm s..." Keep going. "I'm s-sor.." Out with it already. "..I'm s-sorry..?" His words sounded more like a question than an actual, genuine apology.
"I'm not the easiest person to get along with, you and I both know this. But to be honest, you're not making this easy for the both of us either." He crossed his arms and looked away from the boy. "I'm sick. And I don't want to be stuck in here by myself, which is why I pulled the whole slave-for-a-day card; So that I'd have company. 'That's a really childish reason', yeah, whatever, I know. But just.. Stick around, alright? I'll try to tone down the orders if I have to." He pouted. Ugh, It almost sounded as if he was pleading with Simon to stay. 'Pleading' was definitely not Ashe's thing.

"God, are you actually apologizing after I almost tried to eat you?" Simon said in strained disbelief. He leaned back against the nearest wall with a thump and held a hand to his head, fingers lacing through his soup-sodden hair. "You're unbelievable."
He paused for a moment, trying to figure just what exactly he was even feeling right now and whether he had Ashe or himself to blame for all the negativity swirling in his head. "...Why do you have to be so reasonable like this?" he finally asked, sounding pained. "It's just like when you let me bite you; if you hadn't done that, none of this shit would've happened and we'd still be on equal ground. Now it's just so easy for the tension between us to go from entertaining to uncomfortable... We're supposed to be able to go at each other with our all and not feel fucking guilty about it."

Ashe gripped at his crossed arms a bit tighter as Simon continued on with his negativity. The more the other boy spoke, the more irritated the wizard grew with him. "..God, Are you always this much of a fucking drama queen?" Ashe finally said in an annoyed tone. "Don't just assume I swept that whole 'you trying to eat me' thing under the rug. I was expecting some sort of half-assed apology out of you for that, but it seems like all you can do is complain about me actually managing to swallow my pride long enough to do something as fucking ludicrous as apologizing." He stepped towards the vampire, no longer minding that he was still shirtless, and roughly poked at his bare chest. "And need I remind you that you were quite literally starving that one time? You could barely even function during class! God fucking forbid I try to actually do something nice for you for once, asshole. At least now I know I can't do anything remotely kind without expecting anything negative from you!" Ashe didn't even notice his eyes glowing brighter with fiery embers as he continued to yell. His emotions were starting to get the better of him yet again.

"Aghhh!" Simon shouted in frustration, smacking his head back against the wall. Why did everything just have to keep getting worse and worse? He was having an insanely hard time putting his thoughts together to form any kind of cohesive explanation.
"...Look. I... I do appreciate you doing that for me, it was pretty selfless," he finally said, speaking slowly as he tried to pick his words carefully. "But I fucking hate that I appreciate you for it. It just... makes it so easy for me to feel guilty about trying to one-up you like we always do!" He put the blowdryer down on the bathroom counter and then slumped back up against the wall, sliding down to sit on the floor. "And it just... It's made me realize this imbalance between us. Rivals are supposed to be equally matched, yeah? Otherwise the rivalry ends pretty damn quick. And for the most part we are, with your magic and my enhanced physical skills. But--I'm not saying this to be some sort of angsty vampire, I have no qualms about drinking blood and feeding on people or anything, it's just--there's no human equivalent for that. I want your blood, but there's no way you can feel that matches that. You don't really have an equivalent to me threatening to bite you." He paused. "Damn, am I making any sense?" he asked, running his hand through his hair.
