"Hell if I know, kid," Ran said, folding his arms behind his head. "Give it some time, maybe it'll come back to you."
He sat quietly for a moment, thinking, before standing up. "C'mon, boss, no reason to stay stuck in this shitty little place if you're feeling chipper again. Let's go walk around town a bit, I'll give you the tour."
He walked over to a small closet full of outfits that wouldn't be out of place at a gay strip club and rummaged around for the clothes he had been wearing earlier, which he had carefully hung up to keep from getting wrinkled. Then he pulled his t-shirt off in one fluid movement and tossed it carelessly on the floor, where he seemed to keep all of his casual clothes.

Silas turned his head back to Ran. "..The tour?" He blinked. "Yeah, thanks but no thanks. I'd rather stay right here to be completely honest." Silas pulled his arms into his sleeves and sunk his head into the neck of his shirt. Not doing something he really didn't feel like doing was one thing Silas was always good at. He was quite the stubborn boy back in the realm of the living.

Ran stopped halfway through pulling on a pair of black leather pants and gave Silas a look. "Really? You'd seriously rather stay in a cramped, stuffy apartment than go out and explore an incredible new world?" He asked, putting his hands on his hips. "And after I went through the trouble of putting on pants and everything!"
He crossed his arms over his still-bare chest and glared at the human in silence for a few moments. "Come ON, we're going!" he said sternly, yanking Silas's shirt off by the collar so he couldn't hide in it.

"HEY-- What's your deal? Give me back my shirt!" Silas demanded, finally getting himself off of the floor and standing face to face with Ran. After a few seconds of glaring, Silas's eyes started slowly venturing away from Ran's face and down to the demon's bare chest. This was the kind of scenario he'd always see take place in some cheesy romcom anime and this is certainly not the kind of atmosphere he'd want with Ran of all people. "J-just give me back my damn shirt and I'll go. God. This is getting awkward as all hell." He said, folding his arms with an eyebrow twitching in irritation.

Ran snickered a little. "What's the matter, shy?" he asked teasingly. He unceremoniously dropped the t-shirt on top of Silas's head. "Let's get going, then."
He walked back over to his closet and picked out a black, midriff bearing top with many unnecessary criss-crossing straps. "Man, I can show you all my favorite places. You're gonna love Millie's Bar. Maybe we can get drunk or something to celebrate you killing that thing," he said as he put the shirt on, a task more complex than it sounds.

"Getting drunk, huh..?" Silas replied, slipping back on his black and white striped v-neck shirt. Silas had his fair share of beers back when he was alive. It was always at some party or when his friends managed to sneak in a bottle or two after school. He'd never had anything beyond beer though, and was kind of afraid of what the underworld would have to offer. What if they served blood martinis with little maraschino eyeballs on the rim of the glasses? Just the thought of it was making him feel just a tad light headed.
Silas took a seat on the bed and rested his chin on his hand. "You ready?" He asked. He'd never seen anyone wear so many unecessary belts unless they were cosplaying a Final Fantasy character.

"Juuust a sec," Ran said as he finished getting into his shirt. He pulled on his platform boots and went to examine himself in a large mirror. "It's missing something..." he murmered as he twisted this way and that, examining his reflection.
The incubus grabbed a studded collar off a dresser covered in accessories made of black leather and chains and held it up to his neck. "Ah, that's it." He turned to Silas. "Hey, would you help me fasten this? The clasps are a pain to try to do myself."

"Uh, sure." Silas stood up from the bed and took the collar out of Ran's hand. He lifted the collar over Ran's head and brought it back to his neck. "Why.." Silas started while clasping the hooks on the collar together. "are you so casual about this? I take it I'm not your first contractee or something?" He said, clasping on the last hook of the collar.

"Thanks," Ran said, straightening the collar. "Why shouldn't I be casual about it? I mean, we're kind of stuck with each other for what will hopefully be a while now. I think it'd drive us both nuts if I put on some sort of mysterious big bad demon act." He glanced away. "And yeah, I've had others before you. But not many, and not for very long..."
He clapped his hands together, expression brightening once more. "Well, let's go, shall we?" he said, opening the door to the hallway of the apartment complex.

Silas caught a glimpse of Ran's saddening gaze just before he reverted back to his normal self. He started feeling a pinch of compassion towards him. "Maybe at least trying to get along with him wouldn't be so bad, I guess.." Silas thought to himself as he stepped out of the door behind Ran and waited for him to lead the way.

Ran shut the door softly and locked the door behind them. He bent down and tucked the key into his boot. "Less likely to be stolen than from a pocket," he explained.
"Now, try to be quiet," he whispered to Silas, beginning down the hallway in careful, silent steps.
((have him do something noisy it'll be funny))

((u got it))
"Why?" He asked. Instead of waiting for the answer, Silas, being the rebellious teenager that he is, decided that now would be the best time to march through the hallway as loudly as he possibly could. "Is this quiet enough??" He called back at Ran with a smirk.

A few little ways down and across the hall, a door swung open, revealing a sour, wrinkly demon woman. "Lascivoretiel, is that you making all that racket?" she shouted in a raspy voice. "I've told you not to bring your one night stands back here, I'm sick of them loitering around asking about you for days after! Do I need to evict you?!"
Ran cringed visibly. "Haha, no need to worry Ms. Shothoth, he's a contract, not a one night stand. You never said those were against the rules, right...?" he said nervously, glancing back and forth between his human and his evil landlady.

You could almost hear Silas's heart collapse into his stomach as soon as he saw the door swing open. He nervously looked back at Ran who was shifting between glancing at him and the landlady, getting the hint that Silas needed to say something next. "N-no, NO, NO, NO, NO-- I swear to you on my grave that I'm NOTHING more to this guy other than a contracted partner!" Silas sputtered, crossing his arms in front of him in an X formation. "S-sorry for all the noise, Miss! Won't happen again! Promise!"

The landlady leered at Silas. "See that it doesn't," she spat, slamming the door shut. Ran's shoulder sagged in relief.
"C'mon, let's high-tail it out of here," he whispered to Silas, hurrying quickly down the hall to the stairs.
