Damien had just gotten back to campus after his shift at the library. It was Friday, he was done with school and job, he had the weekend ahead of him, and he was agonizing over whether or not he should ask Julius a certain question. He unlocked the door to their shared dorm room and pushed it open. Julius was asleep on his bed--well, not asleep anymore. "A-ah, sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up," he said apologetically, heading over to his part of the room and putting his bag down.
He hesitated for a moment and bit his lip, his back to Julius. /Come on, Damien. Don't be a wimp, you can do it/, he thought to himself, though without much conviction. "H-hey Julius? Can I a-ask you something?" he asked shyly. Okay, deeeep breath... Turn around to face him... "I-I was just wondering... I mean, w-we've been dating for a couple weeks, but we've never actually been on a d-date. So... U-um... Do you... Do you want to?"

Julius's eyes immediately fluttered open at the sound of the someone entering the dorm, waking him from his nap. "No, no it's fine.." Julius said, followed by a small yawn. He slid a hand underneath his pillow and pulled out his phone to see the time and to check any unread texts that he might have received while he was napping. Damn, did he seriously sleep for nearly 4 hours? The first half of the day was gone due to being stuck in school and now the second half was nearly eaten up because of his power nap. It was getting far too late to even think of leaving the dorm at this point because of the tight security. Oh well. Looks like he'd be spending the rest of the evening messing around with his phone, messing with Damien or reading.
He looked up from his cellphone once the goth started to speak. "Of course." He replied, sitting up from his bed and proceeding to stretch his arms above his head. "You...want to go on a date?" He was surprised to see Damien actually be the one to initiate the proposal of a date, though it wasn't the bravest display. The idea of a date didn't even cross his mind in these past 2 weeks since they've been dating since he was planning on breaking it off with the boy soon, but one little date couldn't hurt could it? "Yeah, I'd love to go out somewhere with you. I thought you'd never ask, honestly." Julius smiled. "Do you have anywhere in mind that you'd like to go?"

"Y-yeah, if you don't mind," Damien murmured, looking downwards. Jeez, they were already dating, they had even kissed and everything, why was it so nerve-wracking to ask to go out together as a couple? W-wait, Julius had been waiting for /him/ to ask? Damien had figured that Julius be the first one to make a move, like he had been for just about every other part of their relationship. He was just too timid for that sort of stuff.
"N-no, I don't really have any ideas... I figured we could b-both decide on somewhere we'd like to go," he said, fiddling his fingers nervously.

"Hmm, lets see..." Julius looked thoughtful for a moment, thinking back on all of the 'fun' locations in Norwood that he was aware of. "How about we go see movie? At the mall." He suggested. "It has a food court and everything so we could grab something to eat afterwards. Everything will be my treat. Does that sound good to you?"

Damien brightened at the suggestion. It sounded like a nice, simple, date-y sort of date. "T-that sounds like fun," he said with a bit of a shy smile. "What sort of movie do you want to go see? I'm not really sure what's in theaters right now... Oh, and do you think we should try to go tonight or save it for tomorrow?" If they went that evening, it'd probably be pretty late when they got back, but there was no problem with that on a Friday night. "Ah, and I can pay for half, it /was/ my idea to go after all..."

"There's this movie I've been meaning to see for a while now. What was it called again..? Below the... No.. Beneath..Beneath the skin! That's right." Julius placed his fist down onto the palm of his hand when he managed to recall the title. Damien didn't strike him as the kind to enjoy scary movies, which was exactly why he was so eager to see that movie in particular. "Y'know, that movie that's been overly hyped for a while now? There are commercials and billboards for it everywhere so it'd be hard to miss. What better time to see it than tonight?" He smiled once more. He stood up from his bed and stepped towards his Damien, putting a hand behind his waist and taking his hand in the other. "It's alright, really. We're dating now and I want to do something nice for you. Doing something nice for your boyfriend isn't a crime, is it?" He said before placing a quick kiss on Damien's hand.

Beneath the Skin? The name wasn't ringing any bells for... oh dear, was /that/ was those advertisements were for? Wasn't that a horror movie? Damien swallowed nervously. Sure, as a goth he like the macabre, the dark, the spooky, but horror was a completely different matter. Less aesthetics and more nightmares. But Julius seemed pretty excited about it...
He let out a surprised but soft "Ah!" when Julius pulled him closer by his waist, and turned pink when he kissed his hand. He felt a bit like a silly blushing schoolgirl, but come on, who wouldn't admit that had been a very dashing and romantic move? He leaned slightly into Julius's chest. "A-alright then, if you're so insistent," he said, agreeing to both the choice of movie and Julius paying. "If... if we're gonna go see it tonight, we should probably look up what time the next showing is," he added a bit reluctantly, not wanting to have to break away from the warmth and security of Julius's arms.

Did...Damien just move himself a bit closer to him by his own volition? Huh. That was certainly new. Things between the two of them had greatly progressed compared to when they first met. Julius could clearly remember when it took weeks for Damien to actually look at him for more than a glance, and now recently he noticed Damien was beginning to accept his advances bit by bit, obviously because of their current relationship status. His overly nervous and timid behavior was always such fun to pick and prod at, especially when he went pink in the cheeks, an adorable contrast to his pale skin.
"Ah, you're right. It'd be a shame if we ended up missing the next showing," Julius replied and broke away from Damien to retrieve his phone. It took him only a few minutes to check the showtimes on his mobile browser. "Next showing is iiiin...32 minutes. That's not too bad." He said, turning his attention back to Damien. "Not sure if we'd be able to make it on foot, though. How do you feel about taking a taxi?"

Damien pouted ever-so-slightly when Julius moved away from him. Growing up, his parents had never been very physically affectionate towards him, and without any close friends to speak of, Damien had gotten used to never having physical contact with other people. Even with Julius, it had taken him a little while to warm up to the alien feelings of being touched and held... but now that he had gotten past his initial instinct to shy away, he had realized just how much he had been missing out on. The warmth and comfort were incomparable.
"A taxi should be fine," he replied, a bit relieved that they wouldn't have to trek all the way over to the movie theater, and, even worse, walk all the way back to their dorm on a full stomach after dinner. Not to mention it'd be dark by the time they were getting back, which wasn't the safest... Wait, shit. "Aghhhh, Julius, I forgot until now... We have that curfew, remember? There's not enough time to go see the movie and get back before it gets dark," he groaned, slumping down on his bed. There went those plans. "Maybe we can go tomorrow?"
((I completely forgot about the curfew until halfway through writing this post orz as annoying as it is if our rp clearly breaks it we might get detentions :'v))

"Shit, I forgot too." Julius groaned in annoyance while tossing his phone back onto his bed. God, this whole 'bombing threat' thing was irritating. He had gotten so excited to see Damien scared out of his wits for nothing. Sure, they could go see the movie in the morning or early afternoon, but the late night atmosphere after leaving the theater always made the experience of seeing a horror movie so much better. No point in trying to press for the impossible with security guards around. "Tomorrow would work... I'm just really disappointed we couldn't go today." He sighed, slumping onto his bed as well. "Well, there's another showing for tomorrow at 2:00. We can see it then, I guess."

"Alright then, that sounds good," Damien replied, grabbing the book from his nightstand and lying down to read.
---
The next day at about 1:30, Damien and Julius stood on the curb in front of Bellingham waiting for the cab Julius had called. It was pretty chilly, and Damien knew it was unlikely the theater would be much warmer, so he was bundled up snugly in a coat and scarf and trying to stand close to Julius for warmth. He was still pretty nervous about going to see the movie, but he told himself he had nothing to worry about--he was a magi, wasn't he? Surely after fighting for his life against witches, no horror movie could be scary.
