Simon leaned forward, resting his chin on his hand, and stared at Ashe. He didn't say a word, he just grinned. Who cares if he had failed the assignment too; watching the wizard get humiliated was completely worth it.

((woo page 3 :-D))
Ashe's amber eyes began to glow a vibrant yellow and fiery embers began to emanate from them. "Get that smug grin off of your face." Ashe hissed, stil not looking in Simon's direction. "I can't believe you just threw us BOTH under the bus like that." He crossed his arms and pouted.

"What do you mean ME? You're the one who messed up the potion with your lame fire magic, Dumbledore!" Simon huffed, leaning back and crossing his arms. He noticed Ashe's eyes glowing and squinted to make sure he wasn't just seeing things. "Um... Are your eyes on fire? Is that like a common thing for you or something?"

"I was being innovative! I didn't see you searching high and low for a bunson burner!" Ashe snapped and finally turning his head towards the annoying vampire. He didn't even notice his eyes started doing the thing until Simon pointed it out. "My eyes do that whenever I feel extremely passionate about something..!" He turned away from Simon yet again. "Fire magic is commonly fueled by strong emotions. I just so happen to loathe you with a very, very strong passion."

Simon clasped his hands beneath his chin and batted his eyelashes. "Oh, Ashe, I had no idea you felt so strongly about me!" he crooned. "So much passion that it makes your eyes blaze... how romantic!" He dropped the falsetto and fake smile and gave the wizard a deadpan look. "Seriously though, dude, that is like the lamest thing I've ever heard. What are you, an anime character?"

"Let me remind you that I never asked for your goddamned opinion on how my eyes work!" Ashe flipped the vampire off using both of his middle fingers.
((the one liner wonder strikes again, gomen. also should they try to redo the potion or is their science class about to end? :o))

Simon snickered. "Sensitive topic?" he asked in mock innocence. "Anyways, if we wanna get a decent grade, we better hurry up and start over."

"That A would've been in my grasp by now if you weren't bullshitting around and told me I heated the sleeping draught incorrectly." Ashe growled. "You get the ingredients together AGAIN and I'll heat it. AGAIN."

"Hey, it's not all my fault, you heard the instructions just as well as I did," Simon argued. Nevertheless, he went back up to the front of the room and retrieved more ingredients. He plopped them down on the table in front of Ashe. "There. Now do it again, SLOWLY this time, or I swear I'll tell every girl you ever meet that it only takes you a few seconds to finish."

"A few seconds to finish?" Ashe gave him a blank look. "You mean..in bed..?!" His blank stare quickly shifted into a look of befuddlement and began to slightly blush. "N-not true! How would you even be able to know that? I would never sleep with someone like you!" Ashe sputtered as he started to heat the beaker.

"Lmao, dude, I meant a few seconds to finish heating the sleeping draught. You're the one who jumped to the dirtiest conclusion. Guess we know what's on your mind." Simon gave a mocking wink. "And funny how the first thing you thought of was sleeping with me, isn't it?"

"Because you wouldn't be able to know it 'takes me a few seconds to finish' unless you've experienced it first hand!" Ashe continued to heat the beaker but because of the current topic, he was having a little trouble keeping his flame a consistent temperature. "God, just stop talking to me, doofus. You're getting in the way of me concentrating. And don't take that as a compliment."

"Are you admitting that it does only take you a few seconds?" Simon snickered. After that, though, he did stop talking. Not because he wanted to do what Ashe told him, but because he really didn't want to have the potion messed up yet again, leaving them with no time for another try. He stared at the simmering beaker, bored, and kicked his legs back and forth, waiting for it to turn grey.

A small puff of white smoke came out of the beaker as soon as the blue liquid finally turned a gray color. "There." Ashe sighed in relief to have finally finished the assignment. He was more than ready to finally get out of this nightmare class. Ashe hurriedly grabbed Simon by the scarf and stomped his way up to Ms.Franke's desk and sat the potion on the table. "Here. If there's anymore problems, be sure to tell this guy right here." Ashe pointed towards Simon with his free hand with the other still holding onto his hipster scarf.

"Gak!" Simon exclaimed as he was seized by the scarf and dragged across the classroom. "Jesus fuck, if I could breath you'd have choked me!" he grumbled at Ashe, rubbing his throat. Ms. Franke examined the completed potion. "Yes, yes this looks excellent. I'm afraid I can only give you a B due to your first mess up. Actually, wait, that was your second one, you shattered the first one. A C, then. Be glad I'm feeling generous." She gave them both a stern look. Simon shrunk away slightly. "And lucky for you, you have just enough time to clean up the glass and goo all over your station before the bell rings. You won't leave until it's spotless," she continued. Simon groaned.
